Both models offer the following advanced features:
Charge two independent batteries:
The owner can set the charge priority between the two batteries in 10% increments. For example, you can decide that 90% of the solar current should go to the house battery and 10% to the starter battery. When one battery is full, all the energy is redirected to the other battery.
Optimized load algorithms for the battery:
• Advanced four-stage PWM algorithm with bulk loading, absorption, flotation and boost (equalization).
• Charging voltages are optimized for the type of lead-acid battery selected (liquid, sealed or gel).
• Selectable PWM load frequency (25, 50 or 100Hz)
• Temperature compensated load using an integrated temperature sensor or optional remote sensor.
External display with charging data Equipped with an optional remote LCD meter (MT-1):
• The external backlit LCD screen can be recessed or in a supplied frame up to 10 m (33 ft) ) of the charge controller.
• The display shows the charging voltage, current, maximum current, and total amp hours provided by the solar panels.
• The display shows the current, minimum and maximum voltage of each battery as well as the charge supplied in amperes-hours.
• Other information includes temperature, time, charge priority, frequency, and troubleshooting information.
