Especially in the case of cloudy skies, when light intensity changes continuously, a high-speed MPPTcontroller improves energy recovery up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers. 

Advanced maximum power point detection under partial shading conditions 

If partial shading occurs, two or more supply points may be present on the supply voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs tend to lock on a local MPP, which may not be the optimal MPP.
